Default "Classic NextGen" views of Rennlist

... hurt my eyes. They really do. Would the powers that be, in their infinite wisdom, bring back the old view? Like immediately, or sooner, please?

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Something's changed?

Yes The look of the page listing the threads changed in a pretty bad way.

It actually changed some time ago, but the dropdown box on the left bottom contained several "views" that, when chosen, allowed to see the old, normal look and feel of the page. now they seem to be gone and only two remaining ones are "NextGen", one uglier than the other".

It's crap. Change for the sake of change.

That's understood, Andreas. What's weird is that, as of yesterday, there was a way to switch to normal familiar view. It seems to have disappeared. Why, IB?

Guys, you DO know that by now it's probably against the rules to say anything disparaging about anything on Rennlist, especially if it's truthful.

Please keep it sunny, light and good for the sponsors, just the way the monitors here like it

I'm with you on this. Most of the time I use the iPad and with the next gen view it's impossible to upload a picture. I was able to switch back to classic and it worked but no option now.

NO KIDDING!!

On an Android tablet
... at the very bottom of the page you can select, "classic next gen", which is not bad; or "classic next gen 2.0", which IMHO, sux.

If I clear history and cookies, the page defaults back to the sucky, classic next gen 2.0!

Not sure if you can change this on a smartphone.

I was in the pilot group that was exposed to the new "infinite scroll" feature - and that was truly unusable.

I'm now on "Classic Next Gen" and don't really notice much difference functionally vs the old view. My biggest pet peeve is in the Classifieds on iPad, where the titles wrap over multiple lines with breaks in the middle of the word.

Guys, I have made it clear to IB that this change is not welcome at all by posting the various threads showing the widespread derision.

Please feel free to contact IB and let your voice be heard. This is your/our community.

Goofball and I have already exchanged some nice PMs, but I want to make sure that folks realize that this is not true. If it were true, wouldn't his post be deleted? Feel free to criticize IB all you want.

Regarding sponsors, plenty of sponsors have been shown the door including but not limited to RaceTechForged, CARiD and MB Motorsports, so to state that the mods protect sponsors at the expense of users/members is not correct.

Mark, thank you very much!

Guys, I would like to keep this on-subject, if possible. It's about the view that should be going back to "Classic".

I would think they would notice a sudden and sever loss of content and interest in rennlist. Activity has dropped content has dropped and interest is waning. There are more new members that bring little contribution and lots of questions that people like myself and others are willing to answer and less of us members in good long term standing that actually contribute. Just sad.

I am having more pop up ads and other crap I ignore and rennlist is not what it was when John D ran it. It is really sad that they would consider their sponsors over those they are trying to reach out to.

The new version sucks plain and simple and I am ready to move on if they don't do something about it.

Rennlist is the best of the forums but new ones are pulling long time members away. There must be a happy medium we all can agree on. I hope they get the message before it is too late.
