I am considering an upgrade to big reds. (Remember, my calipers were
damaged by a detailer who used acid to clean them.) I don't track my car,
but I drive it daily the way the professor intended. It has 120,000 miles.
Here are the parts included in the kit I'm planning to buy:
993-351-425-10 Brake Caliper
993-351-426-10 Brake Caliper
993-351-045-10 Brake Disc
993-351-046-10 Brake Disc
993-351-949-00 Brake Pads
965-351-096-00 Brake Damper
964-351-096-01 Brake Damper
Plus bolts and sensors.
Questions:
Is this all I need to replace my factory calipers?
Will there be a problem with the ABS?
Will there be more brake dust / squeal?
Is it OK to do just the front axle, keeping the stock calipers on the rear?
Will they fit with the stock 17" cup wheels?
Thanks for helping me with this decision.

in a nutshell - don't do it!
Your brake bias will be WAY off. You'll have lots of clamping force up front, but not enough in the rear. When you get on the brakes hard, the nose will dive for the ground and the rear is going to want to come around on you.
I installed big reds on the front of my 964 - but I also installed an adjustable bias valve to equalize the braking forces. It's VERY sensitive to small adjustments and only of interest to track junkies.

Check out the search button, there was a great discussion about brake bias.
I would not do what you are thinking about street or track!

I will be selling my Big Reds as I am switching to different brakes on my Turbo on the front and rear. I also will no longer need the front rotors (3K miles). I can even throw in some brand new Porsche pads front and rear(and some Ferodo 2500s front only), and can include a new set of sensors and caliper bolts from my inventory. I have not yet thought of a price, but send me a PM if you are interested.
And they do fit inside 17" wheels.....

Well Graham, I tried the GT2 / 3 route, and there is no way to get these to work. So I am going with some big 4 piston Brembos with 14" full floating McLaren style front rotors with aluminum hats and 3.8 Euro RSs in the rear. When I had the guy look up the brake torque on the RS rears compared to spending the extra money for all new Brembo stuff, he even agreed that they would be a good match. So I save a bunch of money. That coupled with the fact that I am picking up Brembo as a product line to distribute, and things just worked out nicely....
