Big Red fitment question

Big Red fitment question
I did a search and it didn't come up with much on fitment.
I just purchased a set of 993 TT big reds with pads from LA Porsche. Do I need adapters to fit them on my 993 or are the calipers and rotors a direct bolt on? Do I need differnt brake lines?
The calipers and rotors are straight off a TT can they just be bolted on my car? I'm worried about the rears, beacuse wide body cars have a different rear offset.
Maybe it's a stupid question, but I'm an idiot when it comes to brake conversions.
One last question. Would the Stoptech 355x32 floating directional rotors with 7075 T6 Billet Aluminum hats work with these front big red calipers?
thanks

Big Reds will fit fine on a standard narrow body 993. Direct bolt on for the calipers, rotors and brake lines. I don't know if the Stop Tech 355mm rotors will fit, perhaps someone else can answer that question.
Also, I'm not sure if the stock 17" wheels will clear the Big Reds.

Get new front bolts. They're around $3-4 each x 4. Rear ones are reusable.
For the stoptechs, given the 322mm of the TT fronts, I can only assume that the Stop Techs would at least require a caliper bracket adapter. I would call Stop Tech and ask. Personally, I wouldn't bother. The 322mm fronts are already overkill for the NA as it is.

Thanks guys!
New front bolts? Do you have a part number or any mechanic shop should have them?
The reason I was asking about the stoptech rotors is that they use a light weight aluminium hat. Maybe I'd save some weight there and the hat provides much more cooling due to their design.
thanks again guys!

Steve,
Given the size of the Stop Techs, any weight loss in the hat will be offset by the additional diameter. Given the size, I wouldn't be surprised if the 355mm Stoptechs actually weigh more than the 322mm front TT rotors (just do the surface area calculation and multiply that by the density of the extra steel). If you're worried about cooling, install a cooling duct. I wouldn't worry about it until you take to the track and beat the hell out of it, and then see if you have fade problems. Even with the stock NA brakes, fade is not an issue for street driving.
For the front bolts, unfortunately, i don't have the part number. I believe the TT bolts are 12x1.5x77mm. You might want to call around. Pelican Parts were out of them and out of the four dealers near me, only one of them had them available.

At last, a question I can answer before Viken beats me to it!!! Yes, the stock Porsche 7" and 9" X 17" wheels fit just fine over the big reds. I have them on my car and all is well.
As you are aware, one of the advantages of the Big Reds over the stock 993 brakes, is as a result of the bigger rotors and thicker pads, the brakes can handle more heat. I also believe the bigger calipers allow the heat sink effect to be enhanced as they provide a larger surface area for heat to dissipate.
I have had my car to Calif Speedway in Fontana, CA. Every lap there was a 135mph down to 55mph braking adventure. The brakes never faded. However, run with thin pads, and allow lots of heat into the calipers, if there is any water in the system, it will boil and the brakes will get soft in a hurry. Message, get a Power Bleeder and flush out that old fluid, and run with plenty of pad. You'll not have any problems...I am certain of this.
Another tip in my experience (I stole this tip from DJ), don't be afraid to take stock pads to the track. You will be surprised at how well they work: I was. Laguna Seca is a big brake track...I ran out of trick pads and had to go to stock pads. I was very surprised how well they worked. Those guys in Stuttgart may have have something there...a pad that works real well, and it is cheap, compared to Pagid Orange.
Also note, the stock 993TT Big Red rotors are not that all that expensive. Check our sponsors out, you'll be surprised how cheap, relatively speaking, they can be. If you don't have any luck on the rotor pricing, send me an e-mail and I steer you in the right direction.
