I just visited the Ferrari forum and thy seem to be lacking knowledge concerning technical issues. The wealth of knowledge at this site is phenominal. I know a Ferrari is a technical car, but likewise a Porsche would not be taken to the local all makes repair center. Most importantly even those who could well afford to pay for dealer maintenance and service, choose to perform it themselves.

I don't know the Ferrari forum(s) but I've noticed that there are usually several forums out there for sometimes the same car, if not the same marque. The knowledge varies a lot from forum to forum so i wouldn't judge one forum as representative of the total Ferrari ownership knowledge.
