Great story! Congrats on the purchase. You're going to love it. That rear wing is....big, but as you say, that's subjective. As long as you like it, that's what matters. Congrats again.

I live in Denver and as a 996 C4S owner that "settled" for black after wanting midnight blue, I have been lusting after this car ever since it was listed...congrats!

Yeah I can definitely see myself going back and forth on it. The 'naked' 993 is so elegant, and with the wing there's the sense of, I don't know, menace? Both to me are fantastic, but the uniqueness of the wing made me keep it that way.

A quick 1 hour job to switch it out one day :-)

^^^Yup, easy to go back and forth on the look, alrighty!

One part of me says, "simplicity," where the natural beauty of the car's original lines says, "I was born looking this good!"

The other part says, "don't mess with me 'cause I mean it!"

I've chosen the former and left my 95 with original "basket handle" brake light, 17" Cups, and mildly lowered. Unadorned natural beauty while still meaning business, IMHO. Then got prepped a track car for the other side ...LOL!

Like they say, I'm not suffering from mental illness; I'm enjoying every bit of it!

Well the car is here!

The driver said he would deliver the car by 11AM, and it came soon after. I was supposed to head straight back to work, but I just couldn't leave her at home dirty. I gave her a bath, and as I took my next conference call, realized that she HAD to get waxed before I headed back to the office. One hour later, I was about to ride my bicycle back to my office (1.2 miles from my house), I decided it needed to get driven. An 8 mile loop later I pulled up to my office

Some pics to share - I also added two that shows the 993 parked next to my neighbors 991.1 GT3.
