Default Explain sport package please

I have searched quite diligently to find what all comes with the "Sport Package" on a 97 993 and have come up empty. Can those of you "in the know" help me out as I'm hoping to upgrade my 84 Carrera for a 97. While I'm at it, please explain what "Sport Seats" bring to the table. Thanks!

I'm not sure what the sport package offers, but I'm fairly certain that the hard-backed sport seats offer only a marginal improvement, at best, over the stock seats. They sure look cool, though.

My '85 Carrera had some very deeply bolstered sport seats that did a truly wonderful job of keeping me glued in on the track. I don't know when Porsche phased them out.

I believe that the sport package offers the m030 sway bars, shocks and springs but at the US hieght as opposed to ROW ride hieght. You could then purchase the ROW spirings and lower the car although there are, appearently, some wear issues with the shocks. Check the suspesion FAQ there is a good explanation of some different setup combinations and what they comprise.

The "Sport Package" you are referring to, could possibly be one of the following:

P31 - Sport chassis (M030) with more rigidly tuned springs & shocks, anti-roll bars (front & rear), 17" wheels (M398) - $2117

P32 - Sport chassis (M030) with more rigidly tuned springs & shocks, anti-roll bars (front & rear), 18" wheels (M408) - $3901

If you pop over here:

I think you can find both pictures and prices... Between Gert's and Robin's site - I've found more ways to spend money then I can find ways to earn it....
