I tried a new two connector antenna for my xm radio on my rear deck. My V1 went berserk displaying a full Ka signal full time. I went back to old antenna which does not work well inside car. I think I am going to rip all that crap out and put it in my suburban. Does anybody have any external xm radio antenna solutions??

 

When I had xm installed last year, the installer put the antenna on top of the rear parcel shelf......V1 went berserk!.....moved the antenna under the shelf.....and all is good !!

 

Does under the shelf mean under the leather between the rear speakers?

You cannot mount directly in front of the tach without blocking the display. I put mine bewtween the tach and speedo and it works just fine.
