2020 NEXT GENERATION 992 SPY PICS & RELEASE
#3706
See my previous story about a lady thinking I was getting in "her car" in the parking lot. She said, "you confused me, we drive the same car!" She had a red Focus hatch. I have a GTI. Also red, but still.
This is actually the majority of people.
Same parking lot, different guy. Pointed to a Model S. Said "that's a neat car, what is it?" I told him, "a Tesla Model S". He said "who makes it?" I said "Tesla". He said, "yeah, but is it a Ford or a Toyota or what?"
This is in the 4th biggest city in the country.

And the Model S body is a Ford Fusion with a different badge so it doesn’t surprise me that someone thought it was a Ford.
The 992 is a fugly hot mess, regardless of what some tard at the grocery store parking lot can or can’t differentiate.

The plural of anecdote is not data....

The more I read about this just being another refresh of the 991.2, the more I think I will wait for the next generation to be based on an entirely new chassis/platform. I'm just not feeling this particular car. It's really a 991.3, which is fine...but no sense of urgency for me.

Actually that is a misquote of Raymond Wolfinger

He actually said:
"The plural of anecdote is data."
Debatable assertion, IMO & depends upon context.

Problem is the 992 is the horse that is now designed by a committee trying to conform and contort the 911 to meet an ever increasing and restricting set of external criteria. This has been going on since the 996, but the 992 is the first to be mutated so far from the original as to be another species, and likely to face extinction in another generation or two.

It’s the Panamera’s brother (:

I don't want to them to kill off the 911. They just need to make this car that becomes more and more luxury GT every year into the new 928 and resurrect the 911 badge for a more serious sports car.

Yes, and the quote that I referenced has been used many times by pundits over the years to counter that assertion and correctly state that, by definition, anecdotes do not constitute statistically valid data. We can all pull a story or two out of our nether regions that would support our position, no matter how wacky. Doesn't make it relevant data.
I'd say anecdotes are usually worthless & certainly not proof. Not at all science. ("My brother took this supplement & regained all his hair & lost weight!" LOLOL)
Data, on the other hand could mean, people's opinions. A survey for example.
Anyway, in danger of derailing this thread. <GRIN>

Actually Porsche already have a serious sports car --- The Cayman, All it needs is a flat 6 with the same HP and it will run rings around the 911.
