2020 NEXT GENERATION 992 SPY PICS & RELEASE

Hmm... still haven't made up my mind on the looks of the 992 Turbo. That wing is big and wide compared to the 991.2 Turbo, but it looks like it retracts Carrera GT style. Might get used to it. But there's still something weird going on with the way the wheels are sitting. Not obvious camo, but doesn't seem all that well put together like the panels aren't matched up - frankenstein's mule...
A few weeks back when the 991.2 kicked over to the 2019 model year I asked at my dealership about a 2019 991.2 TT allocation vs. expected 992 TT release. He actually came across as a little bit surprised about "another run for the 991.2" (his words). Got vague/careful answers about the 992 of course... where it's going to land in terms of power and whether it's hybrid or not, but I got pretty clear sense that I should just hold out for the 992. Maybe because I just don't have a shot in hell at a 2019 TT allocation - could be just a half a model year run for the 991.2 - but when talking about the 992 he looked me straight in the eye and said "it's going to be <pregnant pause> better". Somehow that worked, and now I'm excited. Yeah, I know the next 911 is almost always better - but please let it be less ugly than so many of these camo mule shots - the ones with the creepy fake fenders are the most disturbing. Can someone dredge up a 991 mule photo again and give me hope?

Mmmm, I have an allocation for October delivery on a ‘19 991.2 Cab S, and considering holding out for a 992. But as this will be a his and her’s car, and wife won’t know the difference anyway, I might just hold ‘em and take the 991.2

I could never drive a car with those embarrasing robocop taillights, like I could never drive a Dodge with the embarrassing wall of red light or a 430 with the embarrassing stick out tailights that look like the designers ran out of room in the back of the car.

Hmmm, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but that silver car on the left appears to be a 991.2 GT3 touring. The rear bumper really gives it away. This one looks like it's destined for North America due to the narrow license plate area and the bump above the engine cover/grill for the XM receiver.

Here's a side by side comparison of a silver example from the GT3 Touring owner's photo thread (small note: it's a ROW example w/ a wider license plate area and w/out the XM receiver bump above the grill) next to the photo recently posted by Cptahab676. I circled the lower intakes on the rear bumpers of both cars to point out what I think is the most obvious similarity between the two. To me, these cars appear to be the same model.
Here on the other hand is a leaked photo of a yellow 992 from instagram that surfaced a few months ago. It was posted earlier in this thread and there seemed to be consensus that this photo was legit. Notice how different the rear bumper is, particularly down low. The lower side intakes I circled in the photos above are missing here and the entire area surrounding the license plate and exhausts is blacked out. Also, the engine cover is quite different too. The black trim above the grill merges into the rear window, unlike the body-colored break between the grill and rear window seen in the silver GT3 Tourings above.

I'm with Simon. After his first post, I went on the configurator to check the GT3T and I agree this is not a 992.
