It very well could. It just seems the spy pics insinuate something closer to the 991.2 bumper(?) and it would seem sort of "un-Porsche like" to put a 918 bumper on a 911 several years later. But who knows, could happen I guess.

From the back in that design pic it looks like the Merc AMG GT. No thanks. Rear end doesn't even look like a 911.

Another render of the rear. Seems like we know what that's gonna look like. Clearly it showcases how mid engined the car will be considering the rear engine cover isn't going to be fully vented.

This looks much more accurate than the yellow one. A better guess at the exhaust and the door handles are correct in this one.

Pic shows the car as C2S but has the 4S light across the rear and center lock wheels. Interesting.

It's a render. Though from what I've seen, the C2 might have the current C4 light bar, while the C4 has a full height one (like a 993).

Was thinking exact same thing "thumbup: at some point it becomes an issue. And Europe has some tight lane-ways, I went down one in Wurzburg and was nearly touching the sides - in my 991 C2S.
