Im willing to wager the hood line is a result of moving the engine forward and keeping the interior space the same. There is a huge pressure from us fanboys not to make it any bigger, so they prob said, "F it" we will just tuck in the front bumper

The only question is whether they're trying to turn the 911 into a Panamera or a Macan. I like some aspects of the new design but there are also a lot of highly questionable calls. Of course we still haven't seen the real thing in all its glory yet.

Highly doubt this. Those kind of hard points are fixed a long time ago, it would be easy to change the hood stamping If they wanted. There is a reason. Either a curious aesthetic choice, or something to do with manufacturing.
