I hear plenty of hand wringing about the shape of tail lights or roof joints, but does anybody else see the active aero elements? The front louvers are adjustable:

And there is an adjustable front splitter, too!!

This is the stuff I see when I look at these cars. I expect this is for added downforce, which is something I do care about.

Agree that Aston has lost all its grace, elegance and panache.

Um, no not at all. I have a .2 TTS and it certainly does not have adjustable louvers, and the front splitter on my car only juts downward, not forward like in these pictures.

The Carreras had them, not the GTS, TT, or GT_.

That row of 992 noses looks like a bunch of Panameras with oval headlights.

Do you honestly think that this:

Looks better than this?

That’s right, my 4S has the active air intake flaps. Instead the Turbo S has PAA (Porsche Active Aerodynamics), which has an active front, lower spoiler that retracts and detracts depending on the drive mode:-)

Those active flaps look like plantation shutters.

Not an apples to apples comparison but I agree the previous generation AM’s are much prettier I was also extremely excited that AM went with Merc motors only to be let down by AM sticking with single clutch gearboxes... WTF AM...
