Not doing the PDK, just the diff oil (Different oil in a separate reservoir). No filters in the diff and they will produce metal during break-in. Seeing 991.1 gt3 DIY's that have people extracting 150ml. I don't have a PIWIS account so have no clue where to get info on this car.
Haha to each and their own. Oil analysis would disagree tho. An engine and diff up to 1,500 miles produces about 10x as much metal per mile than any other time in the cars life. I’d like to drain my diff since I’m keeping this car for a long time.

By that rationale, why don’t you do the pdk and the engine. Don’t they have metal parts that will wear in and produce metal bits? You know there are filters fitted, don’t you?

You’re not going to get an answer because no one in their right mind is messing with these modern transmissions,
I have. I changed my engine oil at 500 and 1,500. Doing it again at 2,500. The filter only gets the big pieces. All the 2.5micron grit keep grinding. PDK / DCT clutches don’t produce as much metal and have filters, so that oil can go much longer. Blackstone has shown that in higher mileage cars.
diffs have no filter and produce metal. My F80 M3 even had a mandatory diff service at 1,200 along with oil. Just because Porsche says go drive 10k miles on a new engine doesn’t make it a good idea, they just need the car to last a warranty period.
To directly answer your question, no one has posted a transaxle, differential or MT gear oil change DIY tutorial for either the 992.1 or 992.2. The last one posted was for a 991. You might want to check the 991 forum.
He is talking about the transaxle or differential and gear side (not clutch side) of the PDK transmission (which is a MT gear set). Neither of these have filters. That’s the point. Many experts recommend changing GEAR OIL (not PDK clutch oil) first time at 10-15k miles to get the metal fine from break in out and then follow the owner’s manual recommended service interval after that. To his point, this is what a magnetic rear differential drain plug looks like at 10,000 miles. I understand why he wants to change it.

I did a spittake reading this. It’s totally unnecessary to change oil this frequently with these cars.
The factory recommended oil change interval for these cars is 20k miles for most of the world. It’s 10k in the US, because PCNA can’t get Americans to think in those terms. A 911 is not a fragile thing.

These insanely long maintenance intervals are driven by environmental policies, not oil analysis..
Look up Lake Speed Jr. from Speed Diagnostics.. He’s done tech talks for PCA and has piles of data that 100% support a couple early oil changes along with gear oil. Porsche wants you to get thru the warranty and doesn’t care if your rod bearings and compression is crap at 160,000 miles.
