@M3Inline6 And don’t forget about the modification naysayers 🤣

….but majority of those people would be unlikely to buy a high mileage and/or track utilized vehicle.
Some will tell you to jettison the petty attempts to keep your car looking nice and just drive it. Scratches, rock chips, bug guts and peppered headlights be damned….

Some will tell you that caring about creature comforts, interior textures, and personalization of aesthetics makes you less of a Porsche owner; the real tribe is BMOATT (..bare minimum options all the time).
….but those same people will highlight that individuality as the difference between being a Porsche owner and a Ferrari/Lambo owner (…”We actually connect with our cars and individualize bro!”).
It just goes on and on. You really can’t win. You just have to shut it all out and do what you want.
I always find it curious that some people will spend a lot of money for a car and not want to maintain them.

I do also have a DD and have it washed it intermittently. Its not that I don't care about the car its that I would rather use and enjoy it - which trumps appearance concerns
If it looks like rain is in a couple days its not worth it to get a 60$ car wash and have it dirty the next day. Its gorgeous when clean but frankly those club sport wheels will never really be clean- im really ready to powder coat them satin black and forget them- where do i get a satin black center cap??
I’m back here as I have a man cleaning my car as we speak and remembered this pic I shared. I have to say the comments are interesting.
It really isn’t that deep. I found this pic in my camera roll and thought, ‘that’s something I can share in the Rennlist community. They can’t all be arseholes.’ Nevermind.
No, I'm not lying - what a weird accusation. I’ve only done 5,000 miles in it but it’s driven most days.
No, I’m not seeking clout - again, projecting your insecurities isn’t normal.
No, I don’t treat it like a workvan. It has ppf and until today has relied on nature’s washes.
Yes, that is a Mercedes wheel in the background.
I don’t get on here much because there are probably only a handful of helpful, nice members. I’ve never known a forum quite like it - though the Taycan one (when I viewed it a couple years’ ago) was a next level ***** magnet too. Anyway, enjoy your days.

Don't let the haters get you down here, most of us are nice. I like seeing these cars get driven especially the sports cars, and I am jealous of your freedom from needing a clean car as I am too OCD to drive a dirty car. Keep on driving
Not quite as bad as you but I bought my 2024 C4S in mid December after getting my 2020 C2S winter beater stuck despite snow tires in the 24" we got that day. I had the dealer swap the new car to winter tires and wheels and rubber floor mats before I picked it up. It has been my daily all winter since then and got its first proper wash yesterday (as well as swap to summer wheels/tires and switch back to the carpet floormats). Looks so much nicer now I can barely recognize it!
