My dream 911 would be a .2GTS RWD Targa with a folding metal roof as I'm not keen on the fabric tops.
Congrats! I would’ve been completely happy in a 992.2 GTS. I test drove it twice before placing a TTS order. I’ve always wanted a Turbo S but ended up in a different brand each time after a test drive. The 991.2 and 992.2 TTS just didn’t do it for me. I think the T-hybrid will be the one for me.

Basically, you are a guinea pig in a vast long term experiment of a change which is totally brought on by having your and mine 911 pollute the whole world and cause climate change by itself and by the way, we have had climate change before mankind existed. The 911 ICE is not going to ruin the world. You can buy into it, and let the EU destroy Porsche, BMW etc but do not take me along the ride.

Yes they are bribing us with no Lag, higher HP, and the spin that it is really not a hybrid, despite US government requirements of truth in labeling which require it on the GTS. War is peace type 1984 thinking. However, 90% of the reviews, the one commonality among them it that the GTS is not as engaging....I do not think they know each other.....unless you think this is a vast conspiracy among U-Tubers both real and AI.

This is my opinion, and I do not have a tube-channel. I Have driven ICE Porsche and BMW's for 50 years. I have tracked ICE Porsches and taken them to the max. I have driven, hard, the new GTS...not tracked it as it is a close friends car who also is bat-sh..it crazy as me. I can feel a disconnection that I have with ICE in comparison...it's fast as hell, I give you that and it has advantage of 2026 Tech, and I will agree that I feel no great weight difference whatsoever, even though its weights a bit more. Let me say it is a great 911 GTS...if that is all we have....but it is not, you can get the last gen's ICE in the CS and 4CS....that should be the real comparison......

Just because it is new, the latest, the faster HP or Log...does not make it better in the overall driving experience. We have a sight time window to still get these cars, and pretty soon, we are going to say.... the good old days.....when cars were really connected you....
How do I say this? They are both great. I'm having a hard time deciding between the two. With that said, Porsche has always been a tech advanced company. Even though the 911 has also always been an evolution and not a revolution, everyone in the world that is into cars is looking at them. why would they risk their reputation on putting the hybrid it whats considered the "sweet spot" GTS, and also the "big daddy" Turbo S, if they did not know this would be the way to go? Merc, Aston, BMW, Ferrari want to take the crown away from Porsche. You are basicely saying that they are using their most loyal customer base as guinea pigs. Remember, they have had hybrids in the panamera since gen 1 and hybrids in the Cayennes.
you may not like the hybrid, thats your right. Does not mean that I have to not like it. I currently own both. a 4s and a gts hybrid. Drove my 4s today, and felt dated and aged. Never thought I would ever say that. Don't get the pleasure out of it that I use too. Don't get the smiles that I did in the past. Does not mean its not amazing. At the same time, if i were to drive that same car 3 days in a row, I would not want to drive anything else.
GTS has its flaws as well. And yes, the lack of turbo lag. it becomes less engaging and you have to push the car to get some emotions, and by the time you are there, you are way over the speed limit.

I appreciate your concerns for year 3,4,5, but 99 percent of the time, year 3, 4, 5 will be just like year 1. Lets be clear, its a Porsche, its built to last. Its built to be abused, its built for performance, not just engine, body, interior quality, everything about the vehicle. Not like the some other brands that are built for leasing.

Let's be clear about this...nobody knows including Porsche until years 3,5,7 etc how this will play out. Nobody is perfect, why take the chance...I understand 60 plus years of ICE they have been built for and perfected to everything is quality...I will give you that, but the T-hybrid has to prove it, and you know the big concerns with long term engine heat generated and its effects will take years to play out. A lot of issues here, so much that Porsche has new upgrades by Patent on the Hybrid.....There is no track record, come back 5 years to me and say I told so, in the meantime with Porsche Prices at a all time record high for new ones...I will gamble on 60 years of quality and just about everything on a ICE product.
Porsche does one thing right, they generally change for the better, the Hybrid today will not be the same 3 years from now, it will get better and the odds will get better they will have gotten it right...one year is just that...one year....why take the chance, when you already have won with ICE.
