Default LCD Burn in?

What's going on here? It's slowing starting to fade away but I've never seen this happen before.

Yikes! That’s something I haven’t seen occur in a 992 before. Maybe that LCD screen is starting to fail rather than it being a burn-in issue. It takes soooooo long for true burn-in to happen, IF it ever does.

Are you dealing with extreme cold? Maybe the LCD is struggling with the temperatures?

When you switch the car off is the screen blacked out or is a pattern visible? On my C2S in the past I had similar looking screen twice. Both times it went back to normal after switching off the car overnight.

Not when this happened.

It was still visible when off and today it was visible yet faded.

This has randomly happened to me a handful of times on my 2022 and resolves itself every time. Sometimes it takes just one power cycle, other times it takes a couple days.

Might be a programming bug, the previous screen still showing after not being cleared from the display / memory. Could also show when the car is “off” and the screens go black but aren’t yet truly powered off.

Pull the negative battery terminal and let the car sit for a couple hours to fully discharge.
