I see this option on the configurator with minimal cost. What does it exactly change since the GTS already comes with a clear/iced tail-light strip as standard?
The standard rear light strip on the GTS is not completely clear - there is still some red in there but less than the standard Carrera which is why the option costs less on the GTS. You can see the difference on the 2D/3D configurator.
@steve9 this is what I noticed in the configurator. However, all the GTSs I see online and in the dealership don’t have any red in their light-bar (not even the slightest). I only see the difference in the pagoda itself (grey vs black)

there is a small portion of the exclusive taillight that is also painted anthracite gray. I only choose then since I got the carbon package which has the diffuser in the gray.

Getting the Exclusive Design Taillights on a GTS gives you the “pagoda” (horizontal plastic strip below light) in color Anthracite Grey versus the standard black.
You can see the difference on the Configurator if you look at a the rear of the car. You can see the color change.

yes.. this is what I understood so I didn’t select it because 1- black works better with the black diffuser area. 2- black pagoda with ice/white strip light only comes with the GTS while ticking this option make the car looks like any other 911 with this option.
The other thing, in the configurator, as one mentioned here, the strip has a slight red tent on it (lighter than the normal one) while I don’t see this in reality. I think it is something has to do with the rendering in the configurator only.
Good thread and info. I would probably have been better retaining the standard configuration as I have the black exterior pack. Configurator images are a bit misleading.
