Is the market changing?
Porsche is balancing several things, including
In the ideal world PAG would raise prices to the point where stealerships cannot charge ADM - but that would mean stealers don't generate enough profit dollars or enough ROI to create the stealership experience PAG wants its stealers to present to the public.
- Make sure stealerships make enough profit dollars to keep the lights on & invest in the future
- Make sure PAG makes enough profit dollars (euros) to keep the lights on & invest in the future.

There was nothing exceptional about my delivery experience at one of these new buildings. It was parked out front just like my Chrysler Pacifica.
Maybe dealerships wouldn’t have to shakedown their customers if PAG didn’t require them to build these $50 million dollar dealerships.

Our local Porsche dealership is in the process of building the Gen 5 showroom. I have been informed that they really had no choice, Porsche pretty much dictated it. Their former showroom was not that old either, approx 10-12 years old.

I agree that it would be better with black wheel/dash, but it DOES look amazing on the Aventurine cars!
I think that's pretty standard in any franchise agreement. You have to do the remodel or you risk losing your franchise. That goes for your local Subway, too.
I really enjoy every visit to my Porsche dealership. Unlimited espressos and fresh baked cookies. What's not to like?
You got shortchanged.
I bought a new carrera S off the lot in 2007 when I started making an actual income. I then ordered a 2011 turbo which I kept for 10 years. I like nice cars, especially Porsches. At these prices, however, I doubt I will own another. As I get older, not only do I have a problem spending over $200K on any car (partly out of principle and partly because a lady crashed into my 2011 turbo significantly reducing its resale value and leading to the headache of chasing a diminished value claim), but a carrera S at $185-200k simply is not worth it, at least to me. It does seem that Porsche has priced themselves out of their target audience. I’ve also eyeballed panameras and cayennes as a replacement for my daily driver, but those to me are a terrible value proposition and I couldn’t stomach the depreciation. Maybe if I wasn’t married with kids I’d still be wasting money for no apparent reason. Maybe I’m just older. Whatever It is, I think Porsche has lost my interest.

Not owning a 992 911 is hardly the worst sin on these boards.
I'd imagine asking whether PDK or MT is better ranks waaaaay above non-ownership posting.
Do I want to PAY a ton more for that? Well, no, not really....but since I am going to pay what it costs to by a Porsche no matter where I buy it, I prefer to buy it where the experience matches the quality of the product.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I am an architect so I tend to me very 'experiential'.
PS- the experience at my local dealership (Porsche Fairfield) has been equally good although my contact with them has primarily service vs sales (they have never been able to find me the car that I was looking for- as hard as they have tried- but I use them for service and have been extremely happy with that).

I have to admit that I like the experience of being in a beautiful, well managed dealership. I picked up my CPO C4S last week at Porsche Monmouth and I have to say that I thought that their showroom experience was spectacular. Beautiful space, nice amenities, GREAT cars on display (for sale) and an exceptional staff. The overall EXPERIENCE was exceptional....including the unveiling/presentation/set up/introduction of/to my new 992.

I like a nice showroom as well. If the showrooms sucked, Porsche would catch flack for that as well, so they are subject to criticism either way.
