I think the main issue is that I have no residual power and need a bigger boost.

I am surprised that the car battery (bought used 6 months ago) went completely flat with 4 weeks of absence though.

The issue is not being left undriven for 4 weeks.

For a car that is not regularly/daily driven your battery will continue to discharge week after week. When you left for 4 weeks your battery charge starting point could have been already 50%, then you left it for 4 weeks.

Earlier this year i left my 24 992.1 for 6 weeks (unlocked), and it started right up when i came back. Granted I used Porsche charger to charge it all the way,
right before i left.

Also important to keep the key away from the car to ensure the car will go to sleep completely. Faraday pouch is a good way to store the key and shield it from communicating/detected by the car.

Depending on the year (apparently), it's either the FOB or the car button on the side of the seat.

I tried both each time.

The FOB was the one that ended up working.

Yes, our Antigravity Batteries MICRO-STARTs have the BYPASS also, the location depends on which model you have. If you have the XP-20 it is on the UNIT itself and its soft-touch button is labled :BYPASS and you press and hold that for 2-3 seconds, on the others MICRO-START models it is on the clamps located at the protection box ont he clamps as a small button.

Please note the reason for the Bypass button on jump starters is because the quality Jump Starters have a protection system to NOT ALLOW jump-starting Batteries when the voltage is too low, this is a protection because often jumping a Battery that is in a very low state of charge is not good because the Cars system will often still put out high current to the battery once the car is started and running, but when batteries are in a very low state of charge, for example 2-7v, it cannot accept a fast charge very well, and it can create extra heat and stress on the battery.... in an emergency this is acceptable but if in your garage it best to get you car on a charger where is it more gently massaged up to a higher voltage and full charge.

Also not that pressing the BYPASS button OVER-RIDES the saftey protections built into the Mini Jump Starters.... meaning you get LIVE VOLTAGE to the clamps.... so if you don't have the polarity connected correctly you can damage your system, ECU wiring and more possibly. For example our MICRO-START's built-in protection won't allow you to mis-connect the clamps with reverse polarity connection when it senses a battery, even with very low voltage, but if you battery is so low that it doesn't register voltage to the MICRO-START and you press the BYPASS button you then have live voltage and if misconnected could do damage. This is the same for all jump starters with the BYPASS feature. So just be aware of that, double check your connection before pressing bypass. Also you don't want to press bypass ***** nilly or you will have live voltage at the clamps... and while the clamps have protective plastic over them to prevent them from touching eachother you can see that there is potential to get some serious sparks if they do touch eachother or ground out on something.

My GooLoo jump start also has the boost button. I know it works since it woke the Cayenne Lithium battery once.
