50 years Porsche owner
particularly the manual 928, the 1977 Carrera 3.0, and the 1978 3.3 930 turbo. I have been most fortunate, and thankful to have enjoyed such magnificent cars. Porsche fan always.
You are perceptive. All are gone, and now the 992.1 is gone also. I realized that my Porsches over the years were comparatively less satisfying. The photos are in tribute to my ultimate favorites,

Looks like great memories. I was not around back then, but I appreciate all I learn about that era of Porsche, especially what they were getting up to in IMSA racing. I enjoy my 992 because I feel it gives me at least a fraction of the DNA from that era in modern car compared to most other options, but if you were around to experience the peak I can understand how the modern cars do not live up to those experiences.

Congrats- and sorry you don't feel that way about the current offerings. I was not in the Porsche realm 50 years ago, my addiction only started a dozen years ago. It's been 5 P-Cars since with three in the fleet now.
So lets see, if I eat right, exercise more, quit drinking and stop chasing women- could I make to 105?

I'm at 45 years having had multiple 911's, 928's and Panamera's, with one 944 thrown in. Every time I tried another brand (BMW, Mercedes or Corvette), I came running back. My current ride is a 23 Pannamera GTS, coming off warranty soon so time to think about a change. Probably going back to a 911 Carrera S as I still like that best - although the PDK only doesn't thrill me. Guess I'm hooked.

I get it; before Porsche I owned 19 Alfa's from 1977. I still own a '72 GTV which I bought 42 years ago, it's kind of hard to let something like that go even though you know it's not as capable as what we drive now.
Great memories, worth every penny.

I've been wanting a Porsche (or several) since I was 4 years old. Sadly it took another 25 years to make it happen. Since then, I've had one or more 911 variant continuously (18 years) - we'll see if I make it to 50 years of Porsche ownership but if I'm alive that long, I'd bet yes!
