Default Checking coolant level

Can someone please explain how to check the coolant level on the new 992.2 base . I removed the cap and barely can see anything at all and not sure what to look for. The manual was not very helpful plus it is hard to squeeze your head over the cap to see anything because the engine cover does not go high enough . Thanks in advance because I am doing a long desert road trip next week and it will be scorching!

You should be able to see down in there slightly with a flashlight. If you truly can't see any coolant just over the metal rings down inside the opening, you're probably a little low. Not uncommon. Said another way, if you're at the right level, you'll definitely be able to see the coolant just over the top of the indicator bar.
