I went through a similar dilemma when the engine had to be replaced on my 2023 GTS manual. My alternate was to get a new T vs keep the GTS. After my research, I came to the conclusion that I would miss the added power and the suspension set up of the GTS. I like the new body design changes in the T, however, I was not a huge fan of the wheel or interior options. That plus it was almost as much as what I paid for my GTS with a comparable build in a car that is not better in any objective way, just different. Did not make sense for me. Now if you have a PDK and want the manual experience, that might sway me if I were in that position.
As far as resale, my 2 cents is that both will do pretty well. Manual cars vanishing. GTS being last manual before hybrid might give it slight edge.
I thought the savage geese review of the T was pretty helpful BTW.
I'm assuming the 992.1 GTS is not a stick? You'd give up a bit of power for more engagement, but considering they have the same turbos, they could theoretically make similar power. Might come down to colors, options, etc.
As the prior owner of an F87 M2 comp; they are great but a very different experience, and the shifter itself is very...BMW. Kinda rubbery and weird. Still a great car though.
Maybe a bold prediction, but I suspect a stick 992 T will hold value better than a PDK 992 GTS 10 + years from now when no one makes manuals anymore.
