Default Nut Cracker Pro

Just received my Nut Cracker Pro. It is a cheaper version of the Hytorc center lock nut removal/install tool. It is really nice and very well constructed. The main difference between it and Hytorc is that you have to flip a switch to reverse the rotation for the 90 degree loosening procedure before the final tightening. Fully automated wasn’t worth and additional $1500 to me. It came in a very high quality pelican like case. $3500 is still a lot of $$$, but it really nice to have a proper tool for a one man wheel R & R procedure for center locks.

WOW I want one. How much total did you pay for it? Did you have to pay import taxes (goods from Europe)? Thank you!

I paid $3490.00. Shipping was free and it arrived in about 5 days.

Nice. A lot cheaper than the nut cracker pro I’m married to.

When I ordered the manual nut cracker last year, I got a bill from fedex for some kind of import tax. It came sometime after the shipping. It was around $100 or something.

That is certainly possible. If an import tax bill comes it comes. Still way cheaper than the Hytorc and I didn’t want to have to deal with using the brake holder, breaker bar, torque wrench, etc…. The regular Nut Cracker and the Renntorq are still great solutions for the removal challenges. No way I was buying a 4ft long 3/4” drive torque wrench and breaker bar. These torque multipliers are definitely the way to go.

Brake pedal depressor is definitely the most annoying part (aside from the grease………). I swap wheels for track and if I significantly increase my track days, I may consider the powered one. Or I may get a dedicated car at that point. Don’t know yet.
