This is on a 992.2 base, I'm not sure which models share the brake rotors.
My car has ~1500 miles and the brakes are still squeaky as hell. I was cleaning out the wheels/brakes and noticed this. One (1) of my front brake rotors has this indent. Seems kind of odd to me? It looks machined and not like it got chipped out. None of the other three rotors on the car have anything like this. Any thoughts?

Brake squeal is caused by ultra high speed vibration of the pads against the calipers due usually to pad material build-up on the rotors. The easy way to try to remedy is find a parking lot, back the car in reverse as fast as you dare, then put the brakes on HARD, just to the point of ABS Lockup. Do that about 10 times, get them good and hot. Sometimes that will do the trick. Sometimes not.
Cool, I didn't know that was a thing, makes sense though. I have two 911s I went and checked the other one, none of the rotors on it have notches or indents. So 1/8 chance? Lol.

Why in reverse? Why in a parking lot?
Just take your car out for a trip through the twisties and use it up! Get the brakes nice and hot. Do this regularly to keep your car happy and the brakes quiet.

By cleaning the brakes, did you mean cleaning calipers or rotors?
Try poking all of the cross drilling in the rotors by hand (NO DRILLS!!!) and then blow out the rotors through the drilling and the venting in between with compressed air. Wear a good mask and goggles. Don’t forget to roll forward and get the swept area under the caliper. This technically was or is part of regular scheduled maintenance.
That made a big difference in my old 991. That and re-bedding them in. After cleaning, try a deceleration from 60 - 40 mph at a medium pedal pressure with no ABS intervention. Do that 3-4 times with a good highway speed cruising brake cooldown in between. Do it on a dead highway with no one around you. Also, in general try not to stop short when you brake. Pulse the brakes but do it at a rate so you can hit harder initially and then trail off and almost be off the brakes by the time you come to a stop.
