I have a 2024 911T. I assigned the Homelink feature to the center console diamond switch.. I would say that it works 95% of the time. Not perfect, but close enough. When it doesn't work I simply press it a second time and my garage door responds. However, two or three times now, when I have pushed down on the switch, it has toggled the sport exhaust function. At first I though that I had accidentally pushed both switches at the same time as the diamond switch sits next to the sport exhaust switch. But yesterday I very clearly only pressed the diamond switch and it toggled the sport exhaust to "on". Of course, when it did that, the garage door did not respond. My thinking is that the times that the Homelink doesn't work it is because the diamond switch is periodically accessing the wrong function. I cleared the assigned function and re-assigned Homelink to the switch. I don't know if that will make a difference, but I will see over the next few days. Has anybody else experienced something like this?

If you see repeated misfunction of your diamond switch then worth taking it to your dealer for a look. Could be analogous to this thread where a 2025 911's FAL button was toggling sport exhaust instead. That owner had their console replaced to fix the issue! Perhaps there is a common 992.2 switches cross-wiring defect.

My 911 is a 992.1. It happens infrequently, but it seems to happen most when I am in Standard driving mode. I just ordered a very small garage door remote that I will keep in the car, and possibly mount with some 3M adhesive that doesn't leave a mark. So silly that something as basic as the garage door opener function is not reliable.
Try assigning it to a totally different option and use that for an ignition cycle then revert to what you want the next time you start the car, which worked for me.

I did that already, though possibly not for an ignition cycle. By first assigning the switch to air conditioning, and then re-assigning It back to Homelink, it worked for about 1 week, then it started doing it again. Did keeping it for an ignition cycle fix the problem for good for you?

After setting the center console diamond switch to Park Assist and leaving it that way for multiple ignition cycles, I switched it back to HomeLink yesterday. The second time that I tried using it, it turned on my sport exhaust and didn't open my garage door. I am not having any other issues with the PCM, so I don't want Porsche to rip out my PCM just for this. Instead, I put a small garage door opener in my car and will use that. Really silly, but whatever.
When setting up HomeLink you can add your address/location, so that when you get there, an icon pops up on the right side of your PCM. Press that and it sends the signal. I do not want to put my home address in the car if it can be accessed by anybody that is in the car with my key (such as a valet). Does anybody know if the address is accessible?
Another thing that I tried was to bring the HomeLink icon from the main menu to the vertical list of icons on the left side of the main PCM screen. That worked, but pressing the icon simply takes you to the HomeLink menu, which then has the icon for using HomeLink. Is there a way to get the HomeLink transmission icon onto the vertical list of icons?
And how often do your door handles open when you approach the car? For me maybe 60% of the time.
so far mine have opened every time. Also if they fold in, when I walk back up and run my fingers underneath they come right back out. I haven't had many of the issues others have had so far.
