I'm thinking of powder coating my Black RS Syder wheels in a dark bronze. The car is Black. My concern is that the Porsche on the back of my car is silver, and the engine cover slats are silver too. Is this too much contrast? Not really a fan of the blacked-out Porsche across the back.

Get your badging powder coated to match the wheels? I am a fan of dark bronze.

just do the wheels. Bronze badging looks cheesy and cheap to me. There are many black cars and bronze wheels and silver badging - Google and see how it looks and decide. For the most part the silver badging is visible when looking from back of the car and the wheels when looking from the side.
Yeah, don't have terrible taste and put gold badging on your black 911. It might look like a Camry.
People put up with the gold badging on an ST or SC because of the car ( namely its exclusivity) .and because they have no choice. Given a choice, very few would opt for it.

Sounds like a mostly inaccurate assumption.
Here's the reality: some prefer silver, some prefer gold, and some prefer black.

Every opinion is informed by some level of assumption or presumption. If gold badging were that popular in the Porsche community, wed see more of it ..but we dont. Deal with it.
Here's what I had on my TTS. Car wasn't black but the wheels were bronze and badging sorta matching.
I really want some HREs in satin Bronze with a polished bronze lip like this. A bit more unique and should mesh well with my cars color combo and brown roof.

I don't feel very strongly about it (unlike black wheels for example which I very strongly dislike) but I tend to agree with you. I'm fine with the gold badging on the heritage S/T but I would not have picked it over silver.

Exactly. The ability to suit to taste and share our ideas is why we're all here.

I've configured green and blue GT3s and GT3Ts with bronze wheels, but if I ever got the chance to get one I don't know if I'd go bronze if only because I don't have the option to paint the decals similarly. If having the decals was a factory option I'd strongly consider bronze wheels.
