In the past couple days, there has been some good information sharing regarding those waiting on cars recently landed at Sparrows Point (Siem Aristotle) and Davisville (Future Way).... Hoping the best for all of you all, as we race to get through the customs process today. Hoping to hear the collective views on what you are all seeing/hearing today and the next couple days.
I can genuinely say that "I am asking for a friend" as his vehicle (GTS) arrived not the Siem Aristotle with a number of you. My car is only at Stage 3, but I am trying to learn a bit from this group's experience.
I was on the Siem Aristotle and don't have any update from my SA as of yet in terms of it being invoiced. Last communication of any sort was that it obviously arrived 5:30am on 3/31 and TYD also registered it as arriving on 3/31 (but alert came through on 4/1 so I am guessing that means it was unloaded). I am hopeful 48 hours was enough time to get through customs, but not sure if there is any tangible way to find out except getting notified that it was invoiced by SA or waiting for step 10 (which is not really relevant to customs timing)
The facts and consensus so far include:
- Vessels are unloaded... both Siem Aristotle and Future Way departed ports on or before yesterday (4/1)
- Seems most, likely all, received Stage 9 notifications via TYD and/or dealer
Of course, the key next steps for you all is customs clearance, and determination of relevant duties. This does not appear to be consistently captured in Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System. However, in older streams, some have posted screen shots with "O090 Order ready for invoicing (PAG invoice)". This seems to happen on or around departure from Emden. It is followed by "O100. PAG Invoice received". This is the invoice from PAG to Porsche North America and is really key... it is the value upon which duties are applied. It is not clear that the dealer screens get access to these milestones, but it would sure be valuable today... as well as for others that may have to negotiate.
Absent this, the other key mile posts in the days ahead are:
PDI in - this starts and inspection at port (Porsche Delivery Inspection)
PDI out - completion of above
These may be relevant, in so much as they reflect that Porsche North America has access to the vehicle.
Finally "V810 - Release for transport" happens, which aligns with TYD Stage 10.
These are things to keep an eye on today. Good luck all.
Way Forward has left for Veracruz so their drop off must have been completed in Rhode Island.
This was what I got back from my SA on Monday when I inquired about status:
I think we stand a good chance. I don’t know if you are religious or spiritual but if you are keep positive thoughts. Porsche hasn’t told us their plan anyway till later in the week, so I’m hopeful that this boat made it.

When you reference the screenshots and milestones above like PAG Invoice or PDI, where are people accessing this information? I only have the broad steps on my TYD (ie through stop 9 now, awaiting 10). Is there somewhere else I should be keeping on eye on? Thanks!

Good question... and I welcome others more knowledgable that I to comment, also. Your dealer has a "Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System" which has more information than TYD. I have attached a screenshot (dated though it is). Getting this information from your SA, or using it to ask more pointed questions may help. In the end, you are very close. And, you could just wait. But, it is clearly a key day and may be worth your time. Example from PSVMS

Another screenshot example (dated also), that appears to come from a somewhat different dealer screen... referencing invoicing steps. Again, I am no expert. But, I am trying to understand this better so that I might better navigate my own journey... and assist in whatever small way the process you are all going through.
My very best wishes for a favorable outcome. Screenshot - dealer tool unknown

Thank you for the info. It would appear to me that the right question to ask the SA is "does it show PDI in" given that would be post customs. From your above screenshot it looks like "PAG invoice received" is prior to arriving at port and thus obviously prior to customs clearance. Does this sound right? Just want to make sure I am asking the right questions
I got an email from a dealer (letter from the CEO) yesterday saying that all vehicles on their lot and all inbound vehicles were tariff free and now was the best time to realize your dream before prices went up.
Shortly after that a correction email came from the dealer CEO, identical to the first, yet leaving out inbound vehicles part.

This phase between port arrival and release for shipment is a bit murky, at it relates to customs clearance and associated duty payment. In normal course, this doesn't much matter. But, of course, today and into tomorrow, it may matter quite a lot. Moreover, while I would certainly hope not, this ambiguity could lead to some inefficiencies in how actual tariffs translate into retail prices presented to all of you when vehicles arrive. Meanwhile, this situation is likely to remain volatile with further movements in tariffs. So what is learned in the next few days might help those of us that follow.
Most importantly, everything that I have looked into suggests that the cars that arrived this week into Baltimore and Davisville will clear customs today. But, I'm not certain of the specific processes or outcomes. But the more data gathered and shared in the next few days, the better. So, yes, if you have the time get a detailed picture (actual or detailed description) of your vehicle on the dealer's screen it could be valuable. Hopefully, others will, as well.
Some were reporting "PDI in" status yesterday (4/1), but these inputs were lost.

I mean...I'd like to think so..but my SA doesn't want to give me a concrete answer. So everything is speculation at this point
Agreed. These forum discussions feel more like therapy groups at this type; just hoping someone from Siem chimes in at some point with a TYD #10 update and then I can at least sleep tonight.
