I have tracked the 991.1 for about six years with hundreds of laps at Eagles Canyon Raceway (Decatur, TX) and Motor Sport Ranch (Cresson, TX). February 2024 was my first time at COTA.
I picked up the 992.1 a few months ago. COTA March 2025 was my first time tracking this car.
COTA Feb. 2024
991.1 – Girodisc 350mm F/R, Pagid Yellow RS29, -2 Camber F/R, Sport Cup 2.
Top Speed back straight 147mph, Garmin theoretical lap 2:30.04
COTA Mar. 2025
992.1 – Girodisc 410mm F/390mm R, Pagid Yellow RS29, -1.5 Camber F, -2.6 Camber R, Sport Cup 2.
Top Speed back straight 158mph, Garmin theoretical lap 2:26.62
(This one will need more -camber up front.)
Thanks for the info! Gorgeous 991 color, love it and congrats on the 992 GTS.
Have you tried the DS3.12 pads? Lots of folks seem to love them, just installed my 2nd set tonight.
To be honest, I would’ve thought the 992 GTS would’ve been a few seconds faster on a 2.30 track. Maybe a 5-6 second difference. Maybe once you get used to the car it will deduct another second.
-2.6 in the rear and -1.5 front, sure that’s not the other way around? I’d try for -2.50 front and -2.25 rear. That’s my current spec, but I’m running Tarett camber plates.
Also, give the GoodYear Super-SportR’s a try.

The car is still stock, -1.5 in the front is all the adjustment that I could get. Will need upgrades for more.
The 992.1 GTS has been updated with front camber plates and now has -2.5 camber on all for corners. Different tires and brake pads used this time as well.
