I wonder when someone is going to have a tune for the new GTS. It seems like there could be huge gains on that platform.

I had a stage 2 calibration with M Engineering done a Soul sport cats on my 992.2 Carrera end of July and it has been absolutely incredible!! I had a very detailed write up on it, but I’m not seeing it in my posts for some reason. Maybe it, or the parent thread, was deleted? TL;DR it was 1000% worth the time, money, blood, and sweat (no tears other than tears of joy). The sport cats were waaayyy harder to install than on the .1 but they were absolutely worth it - the car truly sounds like an exotic car now. Here are my best Dragy numbers, but honestly as fun as launches are, the entire power band is just so much more usable now and it keeps pulling now (and hard) when you’d before feel it almost pulling back on power. Night and day difference. Charles has been awesome over at M Engineering and the tune has been rock solid. It’s so nice not having the annoying cold start now (stage 2 calibration) and also not needing a valve controller to fully open the valves with PSE.

Have you experienced any traction issues, considering that the base Carrera doesn't have a diff / torque vectoring?

Though it’s not advertised to have torque vectoring it definitely brakes the wheel that’s slipping to avoid one wheel burnouts. I do have some minor traction challenges depending on the scenario, but overall you can see from the Dragy numbers it puts down the power quite well. The lack of a mechanical LSD has not really impacted the experience as far as I can tell. I drove a GTS t-hybrid and didn’t even get numbers close to my Carrera because it was having seemingly worse traction issues interestingly enough. I only ever have occasional traction issues punching it from the get-go at very low speeds (because torque comes in so hard), otherwise it puts down the power very well. It’s a beast all around. Super controllable.

Do you have a clip with exhaust and tune ? Does the exhaust burble and pop again ? Little bit disappointed that my 992.2 exhaust just sounds meh

Impressive Dragy! Just to clarify, this is a PDK car right?

I have sports exhaust - I don't hear any noticeable burbles.

My 992.2T definitely has the burbles, not so much pops though. It would be interesting to know if the base with PSE has a different exhaust sound than the T when it comes to the burbles.

Thank you for the great feedback! Dragy looks great! Do you have any 1/4 mile or 60-130 to share?
These cars are mega fun with a tune....

I know it's all kind of relative because my F80 M3 CS had LOTs of snap-crackle-pop under deceleration, and the 911 isn't quite as loud even with PSE. Still, it's enough to notice some nice burbles on deceleration.

I’m coming from a B58 on a Supra and the pops and bangs were very noticeable. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t notice anything with PSE. Even if I up shift/downshift it’s not really noticeable for me

Yeah there you go. The B58, S58, and S55 are all very overrun-happy engines. I had the B58 in my X3, and even that had a lot of burbles.

I just think Porsche in general is going to be more restrained on that without mods. I do honestly miss some of that drama from my BMW cars. Personally I've gotten more used to it, and am pretty happy with my base+PSE.
