Default 992.2 T seat options

I have an allocation of 992.2 T and I’m having a hard time with seat options. Sofa is not an option for me. The sport 4 way should have been my best option if it’s similar to .1 T. However, I’m a very concerned about the fabric like texture of the new sport seat. I hope it doesn’t look as cheap as the configurator. The other option is the bucket seat, I will track this car often, but I still want to drive it to office 3days a week.

Has anyone seen a sport 4way seat? In my case should I go for a bucket seat?

Are you obese and/or have bad joints in your legs? If no, the buckets are more than liveable. If you have a bad back it's hit or miss cause the back is a mystery. It may be better than sofas for some people with back issues and excruciating for others. Plenty of people daily with buckets and with your use case scenario I'd spec them. Bonus: they look fantastic. Even the new ones. And you can add whichever fabric/leather you want. Maybe. Not too sure about the foldable ones in the .2

The buckets are fantastic on and off the track.

EDIT: Sorry for the bad info. Apparently with the .2 selecting ventilation forces you into the 18-ways. This was not the case with the .1 (which I have). Still a fan of the plaid fabric though.

If you want the 4-ways without the plaid fabric, then just add ventilation. Vented front seats are full leather across all non-bucket seat types.

That said, the plaid fabric (or SportTex in the .1) seats are one of the cool T specific features. Kind of like plaid fabric seats in a GTI. A bit of fun in a car that isn’t supposed to take itself too seriously.

I have sat in buckets and I find them comfortable for me (175pound / 6ft, 79kg / 182cm). Going to daily in those once car arrives. Normal seats were not option for me at all.

I’m 5’9 150lbs no back or leg issues. Working with my dealer and hopefully he can find me a bucket seat to try out.

Do you plan to get a bolster cover? Many recommend it https://www.edguardusa.com/product-p...bolster-covers

I'm 6' 250 ish 57" shoulders 💪🏼 , I have no problem sitting in buckets. I quite liked them but haven't done long periods, or had the opportunity to see how I could deal with them on a daily basis. The lack of changing positions for long drives is the one thing I am concerned with (for my body type).
If I was tracking, I wouldn't think twice about getting buckets. At your size, it'll be easy to fit in them.

4,ways are incredible. Buckets seem too much hassle for daily

Getting in and out of buckets is difficult for me and extended drives (over 30 minutes) get uncomfortable but they are fantastic while driving hard.

I don't have too much experience with them as I haven't own one with them personally (I enjoy comfortable seats), but having driven friend's cars that have had buckets for extended periods, the lack of back adjustability has been an issue for me. Also for daily driving, getting in and out of them while parked next to other cars when my door can't open all the way, is difficult.

But every body type is different and only you can make that call after an extended drive, worst case, you can always sell them and get some 4-ways. People pay top dollar for bucket seats.

Four ways are good seats. Buckets are good seats. It's the 14 way and 18 ways that I'm not as into.
id personally go with buckets because I think they increase the experience of
the car, and they are comfortable. Yes they are harder to get in and out of, but it's worth it. While we can.

Especially if you track and some day might want a cage and a harness.

If you don't need back seats, go for the buckets. If you don't like them, you can trade them for 4 ways or 18 ways and make a profit. I personally didn't find the 18 ways that much better than the 4 ways to justify the cost but to each their own.

Hopefully, we’ll see the GT3’s new folding buckets offered as an option for more of the MY2026 911s.
I’m thinking (and hoping) Porsche might release the new Turbo models—possibly just the Turbo Touring—with folding buckets and a back seat. If that happens, I’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before the T and GTS get these seats as well.

Definitely make it a point to get a test drive with the seats you have in mind especially the buckets. Would be terrible if you wound up having the car cause of wrong seats.

There are a few shops that make them, but I got them before the car came in. I've seen worn bolsters. No bueno.
