Default Max miles

Good morning. How many miles do you think a Porsche 992 can do at most? for example on this forum how many do you have on your meters without problem? Thanks

I would expect at least 100,000 miles before any serious issues.

Small issues should surface around 50,000 or just with age.

911s aren’t exotics. I had 78,000 miles on my 2010, including multiple track days a year for 5 years, with no issues of note. Currently have 5700 on my 992 in the first year of ownership, including 3 track days. No issues to report. Still looks brand new after a wash.

I put more than 35k miles on my 992 C4S in 2 1/2 years. The second owner added another 15k miles in two years.
911s like miles and they are better cars when you enjoy them as cars. Letting a 911 sit is abuse.

I probably have one of the oldest 992's here (6/19 build date), but only 20k miles. I daily it although my drive distance to work is very short. I've had the oil pressure sensor go bad (causing intermittent "reduced engine power" warnings) which needed replacing recently; took 3 weeks for the dealer to figure it out. Seems like I'm the only one here to have that happen.

Seems that an examination of the highest mileage 991.2's would help with this question. Pretty much the same engine and PDK transmission. (Though minus 1-gear and different turbos)

All in all, I think the 992.1 is turning out to be one of the more reliable generations of this car, which is good to see.

Pdk had been around for years…
Turbocharged flat 6 has had plenty of time work out any kinks…
Not too much electronics…
Still not electrified…

I think this generation will last a long time as long as well maintained

What serious issues are you expecting at 100,000 miles?

A well maintained 992 will easily do 200,000-300,000 miles on the original drivetrain.

65,000 miles and still perfect.
I had two clients who kept theirs for years from new.
They went from cars to being classics!
One was a 993 that ended up with over 200,000 miles on the clock. It was a bit sun faded but otherwise fine.
The other one was a 997 with 160,000 miles on the clock, same thing.
I thought keeping it was cooler than changing it every 3 years or so.
What other car could do that?
Apart from the oil and filter changes, it has has the accessory belt, brake fluid, plugs, a PDK oil change and that is about it.
Brakes have about 40% left, tires average 16-20,000 miles a set.
No PPF, the paint is still as new apart from 2 pin chips on the nose cone and a bit of gravel rash on the rear quarter clear plastics panels in front of the rear wheels.
The interior is still like new, even the piano black.
Oil consumption is zero and it still drives like new.
No point in changing it.

I get the itch to change every 10 years.
2002 986 100,000 miles daily driver, snow tires in winter, no issues that I would consider out of the ordinary.

2013 981 Cayman only 65,000 miles ( i retired ), again no issues to speak of. Got PPF on the bumper and hood, and it certainly helped keep the car looking good

Currently looking for a 992.2 to get that experience. If maintained, which I’ll admit is not cheap, they will last.

There's a reason for this statement: "Porsche - The Ultimate Driving Machine"

I know of many 911's with over 75K miles...some with over 100K miles. If you maintain the car as it should be maintained, then all you need to do is drive and enjoy. However, you start tuning and whatnot - then you can expect a shorter mechanical lifespan.
