Default Car cleaning question

Porsche conveniently places a ppf shield on the rear hips of the car to protect the paint. I recently turned onto a road I drive regularly, only to find it partially repaved. The grit and tar from the road surface stuck to the ppf, and does not wash off with the usual car soap. Any suggestions for cleaning the ppf without ruining it?

Pic of it? If the PPF is chipped, the only way to solve is to remove the PPF. I recommend a larger piece in place of the factor piece.

If it was just in the PPF, it's possible that tar remover could work. https://www.carpro-us.com/daily-deal...x-500ml-17-oz/

WD40 is my favorite, or 70% isopropyl, or 3m adhesive remover

Carpro Tar X or equivalent. Watch a few videos on application.

All you need is a product called Goo Gone. I have been using it for years to remove tar, grease, glue residue, and other gunk. Spray it on and wipe off- goo is gone.

Word of caution. Goo Gone and Goof Off are not the same product so be careful. Do not use Goof Off without first testing somewhere inconspicuous.

Be VERY careful with Goo Gone, it can damage many plastics.
