My 992.1 Manual
Hi
I just bought a Carrera S manual 992.1 (used but very few miles). Going to collect it shortly in Germany. I’m not a big fan of the 992.2 as the lack of physical rev counter, lack of manual option and the hideous start button are putting me off. I feel like the new base Carrera will suffer a steep depreciation as the entry price in Italy is very high (min 160/170k eur after options) while not offering anything distinctive. I hope mine will keep the value better ,but more importantly, it is going to be more fun to drive. Anyone experienced to drive a manual Carrera S?

Congratulations! I did the same as you, picked up a low mileage Carrera S with manual. I love mine and I'm sure you will love yours too.

GTS manual here. I feel bittersweet the .2's may not have manuals moving forward, on one hand the manual is being discontinued (until further notice), and on the other, depreciation may be slower on the MT's.
In any case, Porsche has a great manual transmission and I have a smile everytime I step out of the car.

Good luck with your 911. Manual is very desireable for sure but don't bet any great sum of cash on the 992.2 suffering from major depreciation.

I have a 23 manual C2S, and my only complaint is the difficulty for me in getting a smooth 1 to 2 shift when accelerating.
Other than that, the acceleration in 2nd gear is outrageous.
You are gonna love your car!

We should expand this post by posting our center console pictures with a stick shift just like the pic above.

Get a sportshifters shift ****. The stock shift **** is not very good and feels plasticky and cheap IMO. The sportshifters **** also comes with a shaft that covers the stock shift lever making the lever noticeably firmer.
