SOFTRONIC TUNE 992
I recently picked up a stunning 992 Porsche, and let me tell you—it’s been an absolute blast. But what really took it to the next level was the tune/exhaust mod I had done.
The Setup:
- Car: 2020 Porsche 911 (992)
- Mod: Softronic tune and exhaust mod to open up those valves
- Result: A symphony of glorious engine notes that’ll make your heart race!
- Why Softronic? Scott from Softronic is a wizard. Seriously. The way he dialed in the car and the exhaust tune is nothing short of magic. The best part? No need for an additional exhaust opener—just get the Softronic tune with this mod, and you’re golden.
Driving Experience: Whether you’re cruising through town or hitting the twisties, the Softronic tune adds a layer of excitement. It’s like the car winks at you every time you blip the throttle. Plus, the neighbors now know when I’m coming home—sorry, not sorry!
Verdict: If you’re on the fence about an tune/exhaust mod, don’t hesitate. Softronic nailed it. The 992 already sounds great, but this takes it to hyperspace. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
So, fellow Porsche enthusiasts, go grab that Softronic tune and let your 992 sing its heart out.

Porsche PCA racing binary check by Softronic for compliance.

Not necessarily true on voiding the warranty as I havent had an issue in over 20 years of that. I tune cars for many Porsche dealers pre new delivery and CPO of used cars. I wouldn't suggest though this applies to all Porsche dealers and turbo cars are better off flashing back to the Original file before getting service done at one......

Once your tuned car is flashed back to stock has any customers car been subject to Porsche's probing and they detected the flash? Cause they will certainly look if it means they have to pay for a new motor
I have heard claims of undetectable tunes but never any real confirmation that someone with a tune flashed back to stock after a major problem and PCNA couldnt detect it
Thanks!!

Switchable files would easily be detected as a car that runs AS an original is not the original yet still an active tune running as that selected orig file.
An easy check for flashing used to be for DME tampering like when chips were added to the older Bosch DME's 5.2, 7.2, 7.8 etc or when people had their Siemens SDI3-SDI21 DME's bench flashed that were opened as the tuners didnt port flash them . These had been all obvious to even a mechanic or field rep in checking. This wouldnt apply to the new Bosch ones you can simply plug into the front of on the bench as long as they are not opened up to unlock or flash. Hours counters still works on them though so swapping back and forth between DME's didn't and wouldn't work still.
Now the easiest way to check is if the PDK CU was flashed ...... Yet that only works to say the PDK was flashed so it's expected the DME was also.
I used to work for Porsche and still check files in race cars and fix DME's for Dealers yet that is mostly for IPAS data errors etc. Sometimes I recover cars back to older files like ones flashed for a recall incorrectly in which if a PDK they flash both together otherwise in man its just the DME.
This is just a quick general description .

I am on fence of getting the Softtronic tune for my stock 992 Turbo S. I also want the PSE (exhaust true on/off) + free revving in neutral option. I checked the Softtronic web site, on the ordering page, it does not allow me to specify options I want. Do I email you guys with options I want after ordering?
This is my first post, I just registered, but I been on Rennlist for quite sometime, just never posted or registered until I finally have an important question. Thank you

You would give us that information after you read out the car and send us the file. This would be in the instructions we send to you when we mail the unit to you.
Best,
Scott
