For PTS it is either a PTS allocation slot or not - there is never a "seems to think I have a good chance". It is no different than having a allocation for a Cab or Base, GTS or Targa - you either have an allocation for them or not, PTS works the same.

He can put in a demand order for PTS (which is what your SA likely did) but if they do not have an allocation, I have never seen that work out.

PS. I have a PTS 911 Targa (and my 6 or so 911), I just went through the process on my 992 Targa (first PTS).

If you do get a PTS allocation congratulations - hard to come by the last several years. If you go to Rennbow (website) they have all the colors you can search and compare, and see various pictures.

Thanks for the insights regarding the allocation process. Called my SA over lunch and now have a confirmed 992.2 Carrera PTS allocation and order booked. Apparently this was approved yesterday. SA provided screen capture of the order and My Porsche log in. A bit anxious happy… first Porsche.

New dates
Allocation month 1/2025
Freeze Point 11/15/2024
Estimated Delivery 3/14/2025

I would finalize your build now. The factory will lock a PTS build well before the “freeze point” date in the app.

Getting full PPF

Gulf orange calipers and side script

Even looks good on an 812 GTS

Or an 812 Competizione

Never buy a car for the next guy. And if he wins the lottery and secures a PTS allocation, the PTS alone will carry him through resale.

Having briefly gone through the PTS process and without having a PTS specific allocation from the get-go to only have PAG pull the PTS prior to the hard freeze I am less than optimistic about the entire process.

Finally got to see a Gulf Blue 911 in person when I picked up my car from the PPF shop. Turbo S vs my GR C2. It's a great looking baby blue IRL.

I just wrapped my GTS4 in gulf blau with an orange GT stripe. I'll post better puslca tomorrow.

The blue is much softer in good light and has amazing street presence. I must've got about 15 thumbs up while cruising through Zurich today.

Gulf orange looks great. Planning full PPF. Hopefully my next steps go smoothly.

Here's a better shot and the closest I could get to what it looks like on the streets.

The amount of necks I've broken while cruising through the city is crazy. My chalk Targa gets a lot of looks and compliments but it seems as if everyone loves this combo.

More of a green guy but love the gulf blue, glad it went through. My experience with Marin was brief and less than stellar, I called up 3 years ago to request a test drive in a 992. The Salesman said sure come on out we have one on the lot, 60 minute drive later I showed up and he walked me out to a 2018 991. I asked what was this, he said a 992. I asked if they hade any 2020 or 2021 992's and he said no just this one. I left and he kept asking why I was leaving, wonder if he ever figured out why I just left. I likely just got unlucky and got the new guy but still less than ideal. I eventually found a PTS slot and order and delivery took about 8 months, but this was in 21 and before the madness that is PTS now. Glad it seems to have worked out for you. Next time you're at Marin try Lucindas right next store, delicious mexican food.

Dam that looks amazing!! Makes me want to wrap mine ... Can I ask how much you paid for this? (just the wrap, without the orange accents).

I've seen price lists where sports cars where the most expensive which is something I don't get with only 2 doors and a relatively simple form.
