992 4-way Seats
#16
I have the 4 way, with no ventilation actually because that adds an air bladder into the seat which I read is uncomfortable for long trips. Seats are fine, I'm the only driver so once I have them dialed in to position, I don't expect to touch the seat controls for as long as I have the car.

I use the manual lever as a joke to my passengers; "it's a six figure car and I still gotta adjust my seat manually!" I tried to get away with telling them the power windows were an optional extra but I couldn't keep myself from smirking too hard lol

I have the Sport 4-ways. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't understand why Porsche has put the manual slide handles on the INSIDE side of the seats. If you are standing outside the car and need to move the seats forward to get into the back seats, reaching in to the opposite side of the seats to lift the handle is a real pita!

Edit: Yes, I'm a boomer!

My wife can't drive a manual, so it's a moot point for me and I'm very happy with the 4 way Sport Seat Plus on my 992.
On our BMW though? Memory seats were an absolute hard requirement.

I'm the sole driver of the GTS with 18ways, but I definitely use all 3 memory buttons.
1 is for daily driving, relaxed position
2 is for spirited driving
3 is what I used for autoX, really snug and dialled in, getting it as close to LWBS in my last car.
Having the ability to just change between options 1 & 2, especially when I'm driving to the fun roads and then pressing another button to 'tighten' up the seats without having to spend too long adjusting the other options is great.
I also sat in the 4 way seats and thought the side bolsters were digging in a little around the kidneys and 18 ways give me exactly what I want.
The 3k on that is a small price for the comfort.

Why don’t y’all just get a Caddy couch and call it a day lol it’s a friggin sports car, do you need it to wipe your **** too? The fact that A) y’all are too lazy to adjust the seat as needed manually and B) need multiple settings for 1 person is just plain sad. I’m guessing these cars also sit around in the garage for days when it’s 70, sunny, no rain, no bugs, no people on the road.

My car is semi-daily (WFM), so its used for errands, day care duties amongst fun drives. I have 2100 miles on my 7 week old car and had ~6k miles in the 7 months I had the last one, so neither have been a garage queens in any way. Its a car!
The fact that I have a seat I can adjust exactly how I want at the touch of a button makes the car far more useable to me. My last car was a 718 GT4 with LWBS, set to the lowest height, however, to get in and out of the car, I'd move the seat back and forth. Whilst it's a little thing, stopping at the exact spot I needed had to become a muscle memory.

14/18-way seats also add the passenger side mirror dropping when going into reverse. That's was a big selling point for me. That and spending $160K on a car and not being able to adjust the seat exactly the way I wanted it to be comfortable.
