Default Best looking 911s ever

This is not a contest, but a hope that we can show amazing 911s through the years. I like my Targa, but there are many fantastic cars out there that I would love to see:

It isn't a contest, because the Targa has been the best looking variant since the 991.1 Targa brought the classic look back.

While I think the Targa is good looking, so are classic 356s, 930 turbos, etc. Let's see who has the best pictures of these great cars from the last 60+ years.

Personally singer makes the best looking 911s!

For the rest of us peasants:

1. 993
2. 997.2 then 997.1
3. 992.1
4. 991.2 then 991.1
5. 964
6. 996.2
7. 992.2
8. 996.1

IMO, of course.

Love this idea, here’s my list from my own garage: 2023 Turbo S Cab and 1968 911L…. 55 years apart connected by that unmistakable DNA of the iconic 911 proves that this is still the best looking car of them all 👍

Ironically the Targa was historically the least valuable and least popular model. I’m not sure what changed with the new models when the 991 Targa came out.

The trick pony top mechanism. Plus it had been several iterations without a "true" Targa top (964s were the last "real" Targas to many).

For me, I actually prefer a cab for roof down experience overall but the Targa functions much better visibility and sense of space wise than a cab with the top up.
Also, perceived/real scarcity probably doesn't hurt either.

The cab also offers a more open air experience with less wind noise and no giant blind spot over your shoulder.

Only with the top down.
I go back and forth - I've had multiple convertibles over the years and 2 Targas.

1. 911 S/T

2. 911 Turbo

3. 964 RS

4. 993 C2S

4. 9971. GT3RS

There are some good looking 991s and 992s but nothing compares to the older, smaller cars in my view.

No, the targa bar is always right over your shoulder. Cabs have a rear side window.

I haven't found that to be an issue with properly adjusted side mirrors.
