Be careful with paying off early- I did this game last year with my truck and was advised to hold off paying off until at least 6 months to avoid a ding to my credit rating. Who knows if that's true, but FWIW

I had that happen to me. Paid my car off just shy of 5 months and my credit score dropped 10 or so points. Experian listed as the low average age of accounts (I've also been in the country less than 3 years).

Sounds like he is. I was in the same position and found helpful guidance on this forum. Some of us live without credit, and the terms are not familiar to us. I'm thankful for the contributions people make here.
