Does my 2023 Carrera T have any sort of launch control feature and if so, how do you activate it? I know there’s a button on the wheel that supposedly will just redline the car in each gear but that’s not really a launch control. My AMG is just foot on brake and put gas to the floor. I only did that once. And I’ve never used the one in the F8 either but I’m curious if Porsche has this feature. Thanks.
My understanding in the PDK cars it's as simple as you just hold the brake then the the gas to activate launch control, you can probably push the sport response button to put the car in max performance but I dont think there is any other trick to it. Should get some sort of confirmation in the instrument cluster when you have both feet on the floor. No launch control in the manuals so I cant test myself but I've watched plenty of videos that demonstrate it.
EDIT: you may need to be in sport+ for it to activate, again not sure since I cant test myself.
oh my apologies…. Maybe I should also look up what a car forum is for if all answers can also be found elsewhere… hmmm. Get your mind right.
Oh come on dude really. Its a 10 sec google search ie faster than it took you to post the question. Learn a bit about your car and if you have real questions everyone's here to help
No we cant look it all up on google. There are many interesting and unique questions posted here and answers that are equally helpful. Tons of USEFUL info
I guess i just dont understand peoples compulsion to post questions that are easily found with a 10 sec search. Do they just want to see themselves on the board? Are they bored? Are they just too lazy?
But seriously, launch control? Next question will be on how do I start my car
@vern1. Maybe im mistaken but didn’t you ask the “reenlist forum” about a wheel scratch recently? Surely Google would have been your friend.” Is there a clearcoat on the rim or some kind of coating as I can feel the edges of it where it is brownish? Could I try and cut this off with an exacto knife and then put a drop of nail polish or whatever on it to reseal it? Thanks”

Can't we just get back to important questions about deviated stitching and how awesome manual transmissions are ?
"But seriously, launch control? Next question will be on how do I start my car"
I'm only continuing because I find the comedy in everything so it's fun for me but.... with this comment you said above, you obviously have VERY little experience with cars.... I own 5 and have owned 26 performance cars, supercars, exotics.... and ALL have VERY different procedures for each brand's version of a Launch control-- you apparently have only owned this Porsche and it's an easy 'step on the gas' procedure (which isn't a full launch control by the way) so you think it's a simple or dumb question. I think you should sit back quietly and learn from all the dumb questions others' post here and maybe one day, you'll actually know what you're talking about and be able to act like it.
Other than that yawnable trash that I just typed for my amusement, let's continue with any and all topics and make it fun too without worrying about how else someone could get an answer.... and besides, google would've never given me this entertainment if I looked it up.
