Default Interesting frunk issue

Yesterday I was spraying off the car with water in the driveway and the frunk popped open. That is a pretty aggressive touch to open function.

Normal - especially if key fob is in your pocket. Move key fob further away from you while washing vehicle and you'll be fine.

My SA warned me about this. I usually put my key on a shelf in the garage while I wash it.

Pro tip: while near the car, disable 'comfort access' by simultaneously pressing and holding the lock & unlock buttons on the fob for about a second util the red light on the fob illuminates. That will disable the convenience opening functions, like the handles popping out or the trunk opening. To reenable, simply press the unlock button.

From the manual:

Ah yes don't let any radio waves, microwaves, Ultraviolet or Infrared Radiation hit your key, keep it in a faraday sleeve for maximum protection 😂😂

apparently the frunk comfort entry works great when washing the car. Not so much when you actually want it to work. You'll get strange looks at the grocery store trying to open the frunk..."what the hell is he doing?!?"

Rather swiping with your fingertips, try swiping with a the back of your hand. Works much more reliably for me.

This will help quite a bit, didn't even realize I use the back of my hand every time not my palm

I just go left to right with 4 fingers across the badge and it opens every time.

To add... Same technique but I sweep across the top part of front bumper below the hood/frunk seam, left to right. I believe the sensor is underneath the plastic bumper.
