Gonna pick up my New Carrera on July. I had ordered the option for wiring for a dash camera and was wondering if that will be enough for running an escort radar detection unit. Thanks

There's an excellent thread in here about radar detector mounting and power source using the mirror tap from Blendmount. Super easy to do with detailed writeup if the dash camera wiring doesn't work.

Buy this connector/ harness which will plug in to your prewiring connector the wire colors of the harness you buy may vary.

Amazon, eBay, ECS has them - 4D0971636A

I have also attached a sketch with the prewire pinouts for ground, constant 12v and switched 12v

More than enough power for radar detector and camera.
