Default Terminal 30 resets and all is lost

The Porsche PCM and anything electronic continues to frustrate.

I had both my 911 and Taycan keys all stolen during a home invasion a few months ago. (The cars were fine.)
It took my dealer over 2 months to source and program the 911 with new keys, and the Taycan over three months.

When I took delivery of the cars, BOTH were not communicating with the cloud, and hence the MyPorsche app saw no updates, nor did the MyPorsche on the web. The Conbox high telematics unit was getting a good signal, and did continue to receive in-car map updates and the like. But I could not login with any user profile so I had to use "guest" for a few weeks. In BOTH cars. Everyone at Porsche dealer and Porsche Connect 1-800 confirmed the back-end (the user account, the cloud) was fine.

After trying a PCM two-finger reset, a full Factory Reset, and a "disconnect the battery", they finally opted for a "Terminal 30" reset. I don't know how they performed this exactly...here's the instrux I got:
" 6568 1.0 sent val; perform component protection commissioning; terminal 30 reset; followed by "ignition on" for 15 minutes with good cell coverage"

Guess what--that fixed the telematics and the car was communicating again to MyPorsche.
BUT I lost
* Navigation completely (PCM says to connect to the Connect Store and purchase Nav);
* Carplay;
* Drive mode (sport, normal, user, etc) basically the Sport Chrono stuff.

And this happened on BOTH the Taycan and 911. Dealer is stumped. 1-800 Porsche Connect is stumped and sent my case off to Germany (been a week and no response yet.)

Are there any smart Porsche Connect and PCM gurus here that can help?

interesting but not surprising
I have said before that Porsche tech is real bad and we all as customers should demand better technology and better dealer support. Very few Porsche dealers have good technicians and it does not seem to me that the company do a lot of required training for the techs as compared to other German companies that I have dealt with
in my experience , unless it is major problem I left it alone as every attempt by dealer to fix the problem, made it worse
hope you problem get sorted out

When our Targa arrived new earlier this year, there was no CarPlay present at all. They did a full reset and installed the software new and everything came back.

Had to log back in and setup everything again, but worked perfectly after that. Hope they get it figured out soon for you.
