Default Remote Start

Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket remote start system?

You’ll need to give up a key. Other than that I suggest talking to local installers and find one with experience doing Porsche. R/S installs are not for the weak.

I figured. Had two Audi's with remote start and it was the same deal. I can either live with one key or buy a third.

Everything else aside… Firsttech/compustar have been the best forever, but if the best installers in town use DEI then go with what they use and know

My mechanic has advised NOT to add a remote start to my 2020 992 C4S. He said the car heats up very quickly on its own, and have the car idle in place from a cold start is NOT good for the engine.

Would adding remote start (which typically requires permanently storing a second key inside the car) cause some of the Comfort Access features to not work?

For example, I had accidentally left my key inside the car. When I attempted to lock the car by touching the door handle, the car wouldn’t lock (because it knew I had left a key inside).
