What is this rubber pad from my “Goodies Bag”
Dealership gave me a “goodies bag” with a few items (travel mug, key chains, etc.).
However, I am stumped by this one item.
It is an oddly shaped black rubber pad, about 4 inches by 5 inches, with the Porsche logo.
It looks like it is supposed to fit somewhere. I thought it was a protector for a cubby in the center console, where the cup holder goes, but it is the wrong shape for a 992.
Anyone know what this is?

if you aren't joking, it is a coaster for your drink at home.
If you are joking...I guess I bit.

Duh!
I just realized…
It’s in the shape of a FLOOR MAT !!
Couldn’t they have used something round?… Like the Exclusive Deign Wheels, or a circle with the shift pattern from a manual, or the Sport Chrono dial ?

Looks like a winter floor mat. Makes sense for a cold drink.

Go to Weathertech website where these coasters are sold as a set of 4.

Good to know!
Speaking of pens, I snapped this one, which I had received with my old car, into the pen holder in the glove box of my new 992.
I heard a clicking noise, and I immediately thought it was my car, until I figured out that the ink tube inside the pen was clacking against the housing!
Needless to say, this pen has been removed from the car.

These aren't the same. Weathertech ones are much larger and actually they don't have a Porsche one. For what it's worth, I'm not a fan of Weathertech mats either, since they are much too hard (heel slides). Had them for years on my WRX and never cared for them. I use the rubber Porsche ones on my 992 and like them much more.

Never said they were the same. Just pointing OP to where he could get information about a similar product as he did not know what it was. Just trying to be helpful. Never said it was a “Porsche” one either. You assume things never said and then reply with an argument concerning what you assumed. Neither did I endorse nor criticize Weathertech floor mats. I don’t care who does or does not use Weathertech or any other floor mat. The discussion is about coasters, not mats.
