While there are similarities, they are miles apart.
The T is more raw and a better Sunday drive car than the C4S and it's a 911.

I bought a 2022 CGTS40. LOVE IT.
I added a 2023 911T. Loved how it looks and the mystique of the 911. Great car. But ultimately, I prefer the mid-engine, smaller car. I sold it after one summer.
I just added a 981 BGTS to compliment the CGTS. I'm all in on the mid-engines.

Oh, and I got a new personalized plate on the CGTS: A K33P3R (My wife doesn't believe I'll keep anything. lol)
I’m tracking with you.

I love the mid engined Porsche models too. To me, much more fun to drive. Much smaller car. Much more nimble. The 992 has gotten quite large. Mine is old, so of course it feels down on power, but honestly when I always choose the Boxster first. The ancient six speed is eons better than the 7 speed in the 992.

I can see how the 992 T or 992 S are faster than the Boxster (any Boxster). Have not owned a 992 T, but did own a 991.2 T and now have the 992 S. Whereas the S/4S/GTS is a beast at WOT at PEC, in most driving, I do notice the lag more than I did in the 991.2 T engine.

I was considering a Boxster S (or GTS) before getting the 992 C2S Cabriolet. I liked the middle engine set up and more nimble size.
What turned me off was the outdated interior and infotainment. Could not get over that coming from a BMW with iDrive 7. Arguably, the 992 PCM is also poor in comparison but the 991 tech in the 718 is just from the last decade.

Not sure if this helps much, but I have a 718 BGTS 4.0 today and hopefully this coming week (delivery pending) will trade to a 992 GTS. The 718 BGTS is a fun car - feels small, sporty, and the induction sound somewhere between 4-5.5K is a joy. There are few places you can really wind it up, but in that spirit I always feel you have to rev it pretty hard to really get it singing. As linear as the NA engine is, the power and fun starts pretty high. For comparison, I daily a BMW X5 M50i - a bit of a boat really, but the twin turbo V8 torque surge gives a greater sense of speed change, especially in city driving (not that I drive that car fast, its not made for that).

All that to say it really depends what you want from the car. The 718 feels a generation old with the interior tech, but some prefer that. If you are looking for more of an analog, authentic driving experience, its hard to beat the 718 platform with the 4.0. But I can't help but feel your 992 C4S is in a different league.
