Default Gas smell after fuel system work

I picked up my car after my annual service. During the service they addressed the issue where I had a fuel level error warning message. I parked car in my garage and went back out about 7 hours later and there was a strong gas odor. Wondering if they spilled some gas and it needs to evaporate or if I have a bigger issue that requires me going back. I sent my service advisor a message to see what I should do.

This was from the paperwork on the fix
FOUND RESISTANCE FOR SECONDARY FUEL FLOAT TO BE ABOVE SPECIFIED VALUES. WARRANTY
* REPLACE FUEL LEVEL SENDER FOR EXTENDED RANGE FUEL TANK. WARRANTY
