You mean a lateral move. I hope the S brings you peace and happiness. I passed on my S allocation because after owning a base 23’ and testing a 4s I realized that the S and base are lacking the brashness of the T. YMMV
Wow these are the kind of childish comments that make rennlist unbearable for the rest of us. What even is the point of this post?

To be fair, it's an opinion which is what a forum (at least in part) is about. I do not agree with his opinion either, but I respect it. I also respect your opinion and can easily understand why you have it. Now for mine: Don't come to any forum and expect all posts and participants to be agreeable, knowledgeable nor accurate all the time. On balance I get good info and entertainment here.
Clarification I also own what is considered to be the pinnacle amongst the water cooled 911s, a manual 997.2. The power difference between my 997.2 and my 992.1 T are not enough therefore I desire more hp/tq. I also want some of niceties that are available on an S, but are not on a T.
Edit: Furthermore we could not initially get an S allocation and were told it would be several years to aquire one while T allocations have been plentiful for my selling dealer.

Interesting, just the opposite for the dealerships I work with.
That is generally a good guideline to go by when dealing within the models of the same brand.
Now if you are referring to what may be better for you, that may be a different story, ie less power can be more fun revving it out.
So Cayenne Turbo is better than a Cayman GT4?
Turbo better than a GT3?
Taycan Turbo S better than a GT3?
Price is irrelevant to "better". Every car is different, and has different build costs. Some have more power, some weigh less, some are more interesting to drive... But in no way are those attributes directly tied to price. What is "better" depends on what you like and value from a car.
