It wouldn’t even cross my mind, because I wouldn’t want to make my inconvenience someone else’s problem.

Actually, I take that back, it’s not even an inconvenience, it’s a brand new 911, I’d be more than happy to drive it 100 miles back home.

Of course it CAN be done but no Porsche dealer is going to want to cost themselves extra time and money in this current market unless you are some big shot multiple GT car repeat customer recognized by PCNA because they simply don't need your business so they just say no. If you back out, unless it's some weird color scheme, they will sell it off the showroom floor in a few days.

​​​​​​I'm about to fly 1200 miles to help my dad take delivery of his first Porsche and then drive it back 170 miles for him because it saves him $10K ADM.

I remember seeing the Bowie-produced run of Hedwig at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, in '99. Fantastic show. So much fun. Made me happy to see your reference!
