Default Key Fob Battery Low

Got this message on start. Replaced battery. Did a trick posted elsewhere ... press and hold lock for six seconds, press and hold unlock for six seconds ... no luck. Tried putting fob in cup holder for 15 minutes (another "fix") ... no luck. Is there any way to clear this message?

Strange. The message on mine just went away after I replaced it. I didn’t have to do anything special.

It will go a way after a while once you drive it a bit leaving the key in the cubby .

You, if like some of us, will have to replace every 5 - 6 months for whatever reason - my fob battery goes dead frequently (even when I store it away from my 911..)

Anyway - if you drive the car with the key in the cup holder area, in your pocket, or wherever (I believe "the Cuddy" mentioned) is the cup holder area. It should go off after a few miles of driving.

Crazy! Two years in and I still haven’t had to replace a fob battery.
