Default Service schedule/service plan

Hey guys,

New to Porsches. They are about to start building base carrera with delivery in July. Just driving for fun so will have low mileage. So I guess service would be based on time and not mileage. Given that, I assume the service plan dealers offer wouldn’t be for me, correct?

thx

Service intervals are 10000mi/1yr so they still take into account mileage.

so if I’m under 10k miles at a year, do I still get the first service done at a year?

So assuming im just needing yearly service, would the service plan be worth it?

I accepted the yearly plan because the dealership didn't charge me for a ADM so I thought I would give them something back as the SA is super nice.

I agreed to the +3 as part of the deal for no ADM on a Targa 4S allocation for a first time customer and:

1. It will include spark plugs at year 4 and although that may be an easy DIY for some folks here it’s not something I would ever consider. And who knows what that or any service will cost in 4 years.
2. I had a ‘17 Targa and just don’t feel like wrestling with oil changes anymore.
3. It goes with the car if I do sell it (I have no plans to but I felt that way for the last 6 as well).
4. It’s good at any dealer.

So for me I felt it was fair. But generally many people feel it isn’t worth it.

Yeah that all makes sense. I grew up changing oil and stuff with my dad back in 80/90’s, but don’t see myself doing that for my 911. Unfortunately, market adjustments are still going strong in my area. So I guess i’ll have to see what kind of offer they make on a service plan.

The only way I would get the service plan would be as a condition of getting MSRP instead of an ADM, and even then I would think about it.

I don't want to be locked into some of the add ons the service plan includes-I want to make my own decisions regarding what I need based on my mileage and usage. Plus I may want to shop around for other dealers' prices. Some stuff I will get or do on my own.
